Long-distance train operator CrossCountry, part of the Arriva Group, has been awarded a new three-year contract to keep operating its passenger services between Devon and the Midlands, North of England and Scotland until October 2023.



The company says it’s leasing two more HST sets to increase seating capacity and looking at using batteries to run Voyagers in stations to reduce noise and pollution.
