Easter disruption for East Devon passengers

There'll be no South Western Railway trains between Yeovil Junction and Honiton over the Easter weekend due to maintenance work. Network Rail plans to improve drainage and carry out earthworks at Crewkerne tunnel, as well as geotechnical works on three cuttings.


Trains from Waterloo will terminate at Yeovil Junction on Good Friday, Easter Saturday, and Monday. Buses will take passengers between Yeovil Junction and Honiton where they will be able to catch a train to Exeter. On Easter Sunday the line will close all day between Yeovil Junction and Exeter with buses as an alternative.




At the end of the month (Sat 30th April and Sun 1stMay) the lines in the Gillingham area will be closed all weekend due to maintenance work. London Waterloo to Exeter St. David’s services will be revised and will be diverted between Salisbury and Yeovil Junction via Westbury. Some services will terminate at Salisbury. A revised service will run between Gillingham and Exeter St. David’s. Buses will run between Salisbury and Yeovil Junction.
