Three more years for First Great Western

The Department for Transport has confirmed that FirstGroup has been granted a three-year Direct Award to continue its Great Western franchise until March 2023.
Rail Minister Chris Heaton-Harris says “We are taking decisive action across the board to ensure vital rail services continue, allowing those people who cannot work at home to get to work - particularly our NHS, emergency services and other vital industries,”
